About Roy Prescott
Roy joined Midwest Regional Health Services in April 2025, after settling in the Omaha area with his wife, Karena. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Master's of Physician Assistant Studies. Roy was previously employed as an X-ray technologist at multiple facilities across Nebraska and wanted to further his healthcare career, choosing to become a Physician’s Assistant after experiencing positive interactions with other PAs over the years. You will most often find him working alongside MRHS co-owner and CEO, Dr Ryan Biga, assisting with his patient care.
When asked what he loves about practicing family medicine, Roy responded, “I love learning new procedures and ways to tackle difficult health conditions. Being able to sit down and talk to patients about what works well for my own lifestyle and health struggles might alleviate some of their anxiety during a visit.”
Roy enjoys the educational and pathophysiology aspects of medicine and has dreams of one day teaching medical courses, alongside continuing his clinical practice.
When not hard at work, Roy loves the great outdoors, camping and grilling, as well as planning trips overseas.
