I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska but was raised in Omaha and attended Westside High School.  After college in Lincoln, I married Janet Larsen of Omaha.  We have two children: Jeff, a Pediatric Cardiologist, and Chris, a Physician Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery.  I enjoy sailing and golf during the summer, and woodworking in the winter.  Through the years, I have been active in church council, soccer coaching, singing, skiing, running, fly fishing, biking and hiking.
