About Mr. McClain
I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner. I have a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling and have been providing services since 2017. I believe in meeting the client where he or she is on their life’s path and providing tools and encouragement so that moving forward is clear. I retired from the military after serving 27 years in the United States Army. I have experience in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, and other life obstacles one may encounter. I use evidence-based interventions and offer individual, couples, and family counseling, and more importantly, we work as a team to come up with goals of treatment that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-based. My theoretical orientation consists of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) but also use other modalities to include trauma focused and cognitive based. I am also EMDR trained and look forward to using this effective modality with applicable clients. I have previously worked with toddlers, adolescents, adults on probation, and elderly. I also provide couples counseling.
In my spare time, I enjoy conducting self-care to include gym time, family interaction and continued personal/professional development. I look forward to the opportunity to assist with your mental health needs and concerns.
